Taittinger Prélude Grands Crus – an exquisite world-class champagne experience

Taittinger Prélude Grands Crus is the epitome of refined champagne art and an ideal choice for the discerning connoisseur seeking uncompromising quality. Created exclusively from grapes from Champagne’s most prestigious Grands Crus vineyards – classified as 100% in the official system – this exclusive cuvée delivers a rare balance of freshness, depth and elegance.

The cuvée consists of a perfectly balanced blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The combination provides both finesse and structure, while the use of only first pressing ensures an exceptional purity and precision of expression. The champagne has matured for more than five years in Taittinger’s historic cellars in Reims, where time has refined texture, complexity and aromatic depth.

Prélude Grands Crus is youthful and vibrant, but with an impressive maturity that makes it ideal for both immediate enjoyment and further aging. A champagne for special moments – or when everyday life deserves something extraordinary.

Tasting notes

Color: Light yellow with an elegant silver shimmer – a clear sign of high quality and a high proportion of Chardonnay.

Bubbles: Fine and persistent with a creamy, silky mousse.

Aroma: Fresh and refined with pronounced minerality that develops into green notes, floral hints of elderflower and a subtle hint of cinnamon.

Flavor: Lively and clean with crisp citrus notes that glide into softer and richer impressions of white peach in syrup. The finish is long, rich and characterized by great finesse.

The story of Maison Taittinger

Maison Taittinger is one of the last great family-owned champagne houses based in Reims. With roots dating back to 1932, today the house has more than 288 hectares of vineyards, ensuring complete control over quality and style.

The Champagne House is built directly on top of the historic Gallo-Roman limestone caves, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here that Taittinger’s champagnes mature in ideal conditions and achieve the elegance and complexity for which the house is known. Prélude Grands Crus is one of the most precise and luxurious expressions of this philosophy – champagne created as an art form.
