Fjorddal Solaris 2025 is a Danish wine with Holbæk deep in its soul. The grapes grow in the valley by Holbæk Fjord, where the coastal climate and ancient fjord bed create a truly unique terroir. The result is a fresh and lively white wine with lovely fruit, minerality, and an intriguing salty character.

The Solaris grapes are gently harvested by hand. After harvest, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit and freshness. There are no off-flavors here to distract from the wine. It is the Solaris, the fjord, and the local soil that are allowed to tell the story.

It’s a wine crafted right in our own backyard and a fascinating example of how far Danish wine has come. A small-batch production with plenty of personality and local pride.

The Story of Fjorddal

Fjorddal is Trine and Henrik’s labor of love in the valley by Holbæk Fjord. The first vines were planted in 2014, and ever since, their ambition has been clear: to create Danish wine that tastes of the place it comes from.

The vineyard is small, and that’s part of its charm. Field work and the harvest are done by hand, allowing for meticulous attention to detail. Fjorddal produces white wine from Solaris and sparkling wine from Pinot Noir—both with Holbæk Fjord as their unique hallmark.
