Foursquare 2010 12 Year Old Barbados Single Blended Rum is an uncompromising cask strength rum from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. This vintage is created for the serious rum lover seeking intensity, depth and pure authenticity – bottled at full 60%.

Released in July 2022, this bottling represents the essence of modern Barbados rum: balancing power and elegance, without added sugar or unnecessary adjustments. This is true craftsmanship and transparent production, just as Foursquare is known for.

The rum is a so-called “Single Blended Rum”, which means that it is a mixture of pot still and column distillate from the same distillery. Distillation takes place partly on Foursquare’s double retort copper pot still for richness and complexity and partly on the continuous twin column still for structure and purity.

After distillation, the rum is aged for a full 12 years in ex-bourbon casks in tropical conditions in Barbados. The long aging in the warm climate provides intense cask influence, deep color and a concentrated flavor profile with great integration between spirit and wood.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Powerful and complex with notes of vanilla, caramel and toasted coconut flakes. Hints of dried fruit, orange peel and warm spices.

Flavor: Rich and concentrated with brown sugar, dark chocolate, oak and spices. The pot still adds depth and oily structure, while the column distillate creates balance and elegance.

Finish: Long, intense and warm with lingering notes of cask, spice and light roasted notes.
