Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense aromas of damson plums, dark berries and apple jam. Add notes of walnut, antique leather, truffle oil and cedar for a deep and complex scent profile.

Palate: Rich and luxurious with morello cherry flavors coated in dark chocolate, followed by black currant, spicy oak and deep sherry notes that provide a beautiful balance between sweetness and structure.

Finish: Exceptionally long and persistent with notes of black truffle, gingerbread, ripe prunes and a hint of walnut oil.

The story of GlenDronach Distillery

Founded in 1826 in the Scottish Highlands, GlenDronach Distillery is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. Located in the Forgue Valley, the distillery has been known for its uncompromising approach to traditional whisky production since the beginning.

The name GlenDronach means “valley of the blackberry stream”, named after the small Dronac stream that runs through the area. Over nearly two centuries, the distillery has built a reputation as one of the absolute masters of sherry cask maturation, a tradition that dates back to founder James Allardice.
