The history of Glenfarclas 105 dates back to 1968, when George S. Grant decided to bottle a single cask at natural strength as a Christmas present for family and friends. The cask measured 105° British Proof, equivalent to 60% alcohol, and a whisky classic was born. This 16-year-old edition builds on the same idea, but with even greater complexity thanks to longer maturation.

This special release consists of carefully selected casks that have aged beautifully over 16 years while retaining their high alcohol content. The result is a rich, powerful and deeply sherried single malt whose intensity is balanced by the rounded elegance of age. A whisky that both impresses neat and opens up beautifully with a little water.

Tasting notes:
The nose is rich and inviting with classic sherry notes, butterscotch, dried fruit and warm spices.
