Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and inviting with sherry, dried fruit, ripe apples, and sweet spices. After a little time in the glass, notes of nuts, caramel, and oak emerge.

Taste: Rich and warm with dried fruit, raisins, sherry, and spices. Notes of caramel, nuts, and oak add extra depth, while the 49.7% ABV ensures a lovely intensity.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering sherry sweetness, dried fruit, spices, and a pleasant hint of oak.

The History of Glenfarclas

Glenfarclas Distillery was officially licensed in 1836 and has been run by the Grant family since 1865. For six generations, the family has upheld traditional production methods and the distinctive Glenfarclas style.

The distillery is particularly known for its long-standing tradition of aging in sherry casks. Together with the traditional direct-fired copper stills, the casks help create the rich, fruity, and powerful whisky that has made Glenfarclas famous among whisky lovers worldwide.
