The whisky was distilled in 2000 and bottled on January 25, 2017 from a single refill sherry butt. The refill cask allows for the natural elegance of the distillate and the distillery’s fruity and malty base profile, while the sherry influence still delivers structure, spice and depth. At 60.1% strength, this is whisky in its most concentrated and honest form – unfiltered and undiluted.

Only 615 bottles of this bottling have been made, making it both rare and coveted. It’s a whisky that rewards slow enjoyment, preferably with a few drops of water to reveal even more layers and nuances in the glass.

Tasting notes:
The nose offers ripe sherry notes with dried fruit, raisins, nuts and light spices, supported by malt, orange peel and oak. The palate is powerful and full-bodied with notes of dark fruit, spice, cocoa, leather and a balanced dryness from the oak. The finish is long, warm and complex with lingering sherry, spice and an elegant dry finish.
