Maturation and cask

The whisky has matured for over 40 years in cask, where time has slowly rounded and refined the character of the distillate. The maturation was completed in an exclusive Massandra Madeira Puncheon, which added extra layers of dried fruit, nuts and vinous sweetness. The combination of classic Highland style and Madeira influence gives a rarely seen depth and elegance.

At 43.9% ABV, the whisky is balanced and naturally integrated – neither overwhelming nor sharp, but with a calmness and authority that only long barrel ageing can create.
