The history of the house

Graham’s history dates back to 1820, when the Graham brothers accidentally received 27 barrels of port wine as payment for a debt. The sale was a success, laying the foundation for one of the Douro Valley’s most recognized port houses. In 1970, the Symington family took over ownership and today the house is run by five cousins who carry on centuries-old traditions combined with modern expertise.
