The contents fully live up to the visual expression. Taylor’s The Globe is a Reserve Tawny Port composed of carefully selected casks from the house’s vast stocks of aged tawny port wines. The wines are matured in traditional oak barrels, called pipes, and have an average age of between 7 and 15 years. The result is a rich, refined and deeply characterful port that balances ripeness, freshness and complexity beautifully.

Tasting notes

The color is warm and golden with beautiful amber tones. The aroma offers an elegant and inviting bouquet of roasted nuts, dried fruit and caramel, accompanied by fine nuances of vanilla and spices. The palate is soft and creamy with complex layers of figs, dates, orange peel and slightly smoky notes from the long barrel aging. The finish is long, elegant and classically Taylor’s, with a fine grip and freshness that beautifully balances the wine’s sweetness and richness.
