Graham’s Crusted Port 2015 – bottle-aged port with power, finesse and personality

Graham’s Crusted Port 2015 is the port for those looking for depth, structure and true character. A classic Crusted Port, created as a carefully balanced blend of young, intense Ports, bottled unfiltered and then aged gently in bottle in Graham’s historic cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. The result is a port with both youthful energy and the mature complexity that only bottle age can provide.

Crusted Port is known as the link between Vintage and Late Bottled Vintage – which is why this wine is so fascinating. It delivers intense fruit, structure and ageing potential, but is already a great pleasure in the glass. Graham’s Crusted Port 2015 is an obvious choice for connoisseurs as well as curious Port lovers who want to experience something with edge and depth.

Tasting notes

The color is deep ruby red with dark intensity. On the nose, you’re greeted by ripe cherries, blackcurrants and dark berries, accompanied by elegant notes of eucalyptus and fresh mint. The palate is rich and velvety with a solid structure, ripe tannins and layer upon layer of red and black fruit. The finish is long, rounded and harmonious.

The natural sediment – the characteristic “crust” – testifies to an authentic, unfiltered port that has been allowed to develop naturally in the bottle.

Serving and enjoyment

Decant the wine before serving to separate the sediment and open up the full aroma of the wine. Perfect with strong cheeses, dark chocolate, nut-based desserts or as a meditation glass in good company. Ready to drink now, but can be stored and developed further for up to 10 years.

The history of the house

Since 1820, Graham’s has been one of the most respected port houses in the Douro Valley. With more than 200 years of experience, the house combines traditional craftsmanship with an uncompromising commitment to quality. The iconic 1890’s warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia are the setting for the maturation of some of the world’s finest Ports – including this Crusted Port, which is history, craftsmanship and passion all in one bottle.
