A rum with soul and strength

The rum was distilled in 2017 and aged for 8 years in the tropical climate of Hampden Estate in Trelawny, Jamaica. The warm and humid environment allows for a faster and more intense maturation. It’s distilled 100% on pot stills, creating a powerful and complex flavor.

Tasting notes

• Nose: Intense and fruity. Notes of pineapple, banana, green mango and sweet caramel. A hint of lime and the characteristic “funky” esters.

• Flavor: Full-bodied and rich with tropical fruits, overripe apples, vanilla and warm spices. The high alcohol content provides structure and energy.

• Finish: Long and creamy with notes of cane sugar, oak, licorice and a hint of smoke.

The Magnum Series was launched in 2021 by Luca Gargano from La Maison & Velier. The idea was to create a bridge between the taste of rum and the visual universe of Magnum. Hampden Estate – proud traditions since 1753

Located in Trelawny, Jamaica, Hampden Estate is one of the oldest active distilleries in the world. It has been producing rum since 1753 using natural fermentation, pot still distillation and unchanged traditions.
Since the Hussey family took over the distillery in 2009, Hampden has experienced a new heyday. They introduced on-site aging in the tropical climate – a process that enhances the flavor and gives the rum its intense and authentic character.
