Hecht & Bannier Bandol Rosé 2023 – Provence rosé with depth and ageing potential
Hecht & Bannier Bandol Rosé 2023 is rosé wine in its most serious and refined form. We’re not talking about a fleeting summer rosé, but a wine with structure, complexity and a rare ageing potential. A true signature wine from Provence, created for those who want more than just freshness in the glass.
The wine comes from the Bandol appellation, considered by many to be the absolute elite of rosé wine. The grapes come from cool, high-altitude vineyards where the temperature differences between day and night provide extra aromatic intensity and an impressive natural balance. The result is a rosé with nerve, elegance and depth.
The blend consists primarily of Mourvèdre, complemented by Grenache and Cinsault – a classic Bandol blend that gives the wine structure, freshness and a remarkable ability to evolve over time. Hecht & Bannier Bandol Rosé 2023 is as suitable for immediate enjoyment as it is for cellaring and cellaring for years to come.
Why choose Hecht & Bannier Bandol Rosé 2023?
- Top quality from some of the best vineyards in Bandol, Provence
- Exceptional ageing potential for a rosé wine
- Craftsmanship and terroir in perfect balance
- Ideal food wine for southern French and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine
Tasting notes
Nose:
Intense and nuanced with aromas of blood orange, dried apricots, wild herbs and a subtle mineral touch.
Taste:
Elegant and precise with vibrant freshness, great structure and silky smooth texture. The flavor is layered and balanced with great finesse.
Finish:
Long and mineral with a dry, clean finish that shows the wine’s serious character and potential.
With age, the wine develops additional complexity, depth and tertiary notes rarely seen in rosé wines – a clear testament to Bandol’s unique format.
Perfect companion to bouillabaisse, ratatouille, grilled fish, shellfish, light meat and classic Provençal dishes. Also excellent as an aperitif for those who appreciate rosé with substance.
History of the house – Hecht & Bannier
Hecht & Bannier was founded in the early 2000s by Grégory Hecht and François Bannier with a clear ambition: to elevate the quality and reputation of wines from the South of France. They work as négociants-éleveurs, which means that they select grapes from the best parcels and do the vinification and aging themselves.
With an uncompromising focus on terroir, balance and elegance, Hecht & Bannier have achieved the status of some of the most respected producers in the region. Their wines are known for soul, precision and the ability to evolve beautifully over time – and Bandol Rosé 2023 is a shining example of this philosophy.
