The history of the house

Holm Oak Vineyards is located in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley. The property has historical roots with botanist and architect Alexander North. He planted the oak trees that gave the vineyard its name. He also worked with ash trees for tennis rackets. This is where the story of the legendary “Wizard Flat Top” comes from.

Today, the winery is run by a family with a focus on quality and sustainability. They have 18 hectares of vineyards with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, among others. The style is cool, fruity and elegant. The wines are made with minimal intervention and great respect for nature.
