Planteray Vintage Collection No. 3 Terravera Belize 2008 – Limited Edition Rum

Planteray Vintage Collection No. 3 Terravera Belize 2008 is an exclusive and limited rum release from the renowned rum house Planteray, formerly known as Plantation Rum. This special rum is part of the Vintage Collection series, which focuses on unique rums from specific distilleries and vintages. The result is rums with distinct origins, depth and complexity.

The rum is produced at Travelers Liquors Distillery in Belize and distilled in 2008. Molasses is used as the raw material and fermentation typically lasts 3-4 days. Distillation takes place on multi-column stills, resulting in a clean and aromatic rum with a beautiful structure.

After distillation, the rum goes through a long and exciting maturation process. First, it was aged for 13 years in the tropical climate of Belize City, where the warm temperature provides an intense development of aroma and flavor. The rum was then shipped to France where it was aged for a further 2 years in Javrezac. This combination of tropical and continental aging creates a beautiful balance between power and elegance.

The rum is bottled as a “One-Time Limited Edition” at 48.3% alcohol with a light dosage of 8 grams of sugar per liter. With an ester profile of 92g/hl AA, the rum is aromatic, complex and full of character.

Aroma: Rich aroma with notes of tropical fruits, caramel, vanilla, orange peel and warm spices.

Taste: Round and complex with nuances of ripe fruits, brown sugar, honey, cocoa and light oak.

Finish: Long and warm with caramel, spices, dried fruit and an elegant sweetness.
