The original Port Mourant distillery no longer exists, but the legacy lives on at Diamond Distillery (DDL) in Guyana. Here, the historic double wooden pot still continues, giving the rum its characteristic heavy, complex and slightly oily style. A rum for connoisseurs seeking true Demerara character.

The rum is made with molasses and aged in ex-bourbon casks. It is first matured in the tropical climate of Guyana, where the heat accelerates the interaction between spirit and wood. It is then shipped to the cellars of Bristol Spirits Ltd in England, where it is finished in more temperate conditions. This combination provides both intensity and finesse.

The bottling is unfiltered to preserve the natural depth, structure and authentic flavor profile. At 43% alcohol, a great balance between power and elegance is achieved.
