Fjorddal Pinot Noir Précoce & Phønix Sparkling 2020 is Danish sparkling wine in absolute top class – an uncompromising Extra Brut with depth, elegance and impressive aging. Two exciting grape varieties come together in an expression that is fresh, complex and clearly characterized by the unique terroir of Holbæk Fjord.

In the sheltered fjord valley, the cool coastal climate and the mineral-rich, old fjord floor create ideal conditions for slow ripening and intense flavor development. The grapes are gently harvested by hand in September 2020 and the wine is made in the traditional Champagne method with great precision and respect for the craft.

The long bottle aging of 57 months gives the wine remarkable complexity, fine persistent bubbles and a creamy structure. The combination of Pinot Noir Précoce and Phønix adds fruit, structure and finesse, resulting in a sparkling wine with character, balance and a long finish.

This is a wine for special moments – perfect as an aperitif, with oysters and shellfish or with gastronomic dishes where the bubbles and acidity enhance the flavor experience. A Danish sparkling wine that shows how high the level has reached.

The history of the house

Fjorddal is Trine and Henrik’s passionate wine project by Holbæk Fjord. Here, the love of winemaking is combined with solid Danish craftsmanship and a focus on terroir. With hand-harvested grapes and dedicated work in both field and cellar, they create wines with a clear identity and an authentic Nordic expression.
