Taylor’s 2007 Vintage Port – Iconic Vintage Port from Douro

Taylor’s 2007 Vintage Port is a monumental vintage from one of the world’s most recognized Port houses. Combining power, elegance and exceptional ageing potential, this Vintage Port is a classic for collectors and serious Port lovers.

The grapes come from Taylor’s own top vineyards in the Douro Valley, primarily Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta de Terra Feita, both classified in Group A – the highest quality classification in the region. The different microclimates create a complex and structured port with depth and balance.

the 2007 vintage is considered one of the greats. The wine has received 100 points from Tyson Stelzer (2011) and 95 points from Robert Parker / Wine Advocate (2010). This recognition places this Vintage Port among the absolute top vintages.

Tasting notes

Color: Beautiful, deep purple – almost black – with massive concentration.

Aroma: Intense and exotic aromas of black berries, blackberries and black currants. Elegant floral notes of violets and roses add finesse.

Taste: Powerful and concentrated fruit with impressive structure. Ripe tannins and perfectly balanced acidity create harmony. Full-bodied, yet refined and precise.

Finish: Extremely long, persistent and silky with layers of dark fruit and elegant spice.

Aging and serving

Vintage Port can be enjoyed after 4-5 years, but reaches its full potential after 15-20 years of bottle ageing. Taylor’s 2007 has the capacity to develop for several decades.

Due to natural sediment, the bottle should be left upright for 48 hours before opening. Decant gently so that the sediment remains in the bottle. The wine is ready 2-3 hours after decanting and should be enjoyed within 24 hours.

Perfect with dark chocolate, rich desserts or as an exclusive glass after a big meal.
