Detailed description

The grapes for this Special Edition come from the west-facing, historic stone terraces of Quinta do Tua, where ancient vineyards – vinhas velhas – have provided grapes of exceptional concentration. These fields are planted with a mix of indigenous grape varieties, planted side by side more than half a century ago, giving the wine a depth and complexity that simply cannot be replicated.

The 2022 vintage delivered perfect ripening conditions, and early on in the vinification it was clear that this wine had its own expression and deserved its own identity. The result is a Vintage Port with impressive structure, intense fruit and a rare balance of power and elegance.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense and seductive aromas of black cherry, black currant and blackberry, beautifully lifted by lighter notes of raspberry and an exotic touch of mango for freshness and aromatic complexity.

Taste: Full-bodied and concentrated with dark fruit at the center. Dense, ripe tannins provide structure and depth as the fruit unfolds layer upon layer in the mouth.

Finish: Long, intense and mineral with great precision. A wine that lingers long and promises spectacular development over many years in the cellar.

The history of the house

Graham’s has been synonymous with uncompromising quality and iconic port since 1820 and is now one of the world’s most respected port houses. Quinta do Tua became part of the Graham’s estate in 2006 and is known for its dramatic 18th century stone terraces and extremely old vineyards.
