A.H. Riise Rum is a tribute to one of the most entrepreneurial Danes, Albert Heinrich Riise, who with great success is a pharmacist in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas in the period 1838 to 1878.

Like a king - that's how it feels when you taste King Haakon XO Royal Reserve Rum. This room signs that has been King Haakon's absolute favorite. He started life as Prince Carl of Denmark. Made a career in the Royal Danish Navy, and served on the ship, the Frigate Jylland. It led him to the West Indies. The meeting with Valdemar Riise led to a close friendship, where they together discovered their common passion for good, well-ripened vintage rum.

In 1873 Riise was rewarded the title of Knight of the Royal Order of Vasa as "He supplied the Royal Karolinska institute an exquisite collection if West Indian medicinal herbs" and the "Swedish Museum of Natural History with and excellent collection of West Indied animals.

Taste notes for Ron Abuelo Centuria Reserva de la Familia. Nose: thick, sticky, syrupy nose with smoky notes of molasses and black syrup. Vanilla and barrel char, a touch of greasy espresso bean and a beautiful note of cedar. It develops into hints of asphalt on a hot day this summer, old ropes and apple sprinkled with dark brown sugar. Taste: Sweet and rounded, intensely fruity like apple strudel with soft, juicy sultanas, nutmeg and cinnamon. Melted vanilla ice cream, toasted brioche with Demerara sugar, caramel apples and just a touch of smoke. The whole package is not unlike bread and butter pudding. Finish: Medium finish with prunes and walnut. Hints of cardamom on the tail. It almost also feels like a real Pedro Ximinez sherry aftertaste.

Ron Abuelo XV 15 years Tawny Port Cask Finish is part of Abuelo's 2016 Collection Finish releases, which also includes an Oloroso Sherry Finish and a Napoleon Cognac Finish. There has long been a big jump in price (and quality?) From Abuelo's 12-year-old edition to their exclusive Centuria edition, and with Ron Abuelo XV's 15-year-old Tawny Port Cask Finish we were to get a rum that lies between these 2. The rum should be selected from among Abuelo's finest reserves, and after an initial storage in American oak barrels, the final storage has taken place in Tawny Port barrels.

Fanø Ship's Rum Mermaid 70 cl.

This rum builds on the more than 300-year-old ship's rum tradition. For centuries, rum from the Caribbean was an important part of the sailors' provisions on the large sailing ships, so that they could withstand the harsh conditions at sea. This ship's rum is based on a rum that is distilled in Jamaica and then seasoned with natural, local ingredients and aged in port casks on Fanø.

The mermaid has a soft and sweet taste of heather honey and sea buckthorn from Fanø. The ship's rum is aged in port casks on Fanø, and provides a taste experience that sends you from Fanø to exotic climes - and back again.

Port Mourant - Demerara
13 Years old Guyana Rum 51%

In Guyana there are the last two original Wooden Pot Stills in the world - one goes by the name "Port Mourant". For over 250 years these have been used to produce "Demerara Navy Rum" for the British Navy and are thus the epitome of classic Navy Rum.

The double Wooden Pot Still (Port Mourant) originates from the Port Mourant Estate, which was founded in 1732. In 1964 the still was moved to the Uitvlugt Estate and in 2000 it came to the Diamond Distillery.

To this day, Port Mourant Still produces the same type of rum as back in the olden days, a type of rum that is valued by rum blenders and aficionados worldwide. The rums are rich in flavor and possess a very deep aroma - the old Green Heartwood which makes up the majority of the cauldrons still plays a large role in developing the flavor characteristics.

Massimo Righi has now acquired a cask of rum produced by Port Mourant Still from Demerara Distillers in Guyana. It is the first rum from Port Mourant to be bottled under the Silver Seal brand, if we disregard the two 37-year-old bottlings bottled in 2013.

Long Pond - Jamaica
Fine Old Rum - Special bottling

This rum is produced at the closed Long Pond distillery in Jamaica. Long Pond Distillery is known for their full bodied pot still rooms and this is no exception. Long Pond Distillery still exists in Jamaica, but ceased production in 2012.

It is not known whether this bottling is a mixture of still and column distilled rum, but since Long Pond had both types of equipment, there is a possibility of a mixture - but one thing is certain - there is definitely still still rum in this single cask room. The nose is heavy on sun-ripened fruits and is full of lovely esters. The taste is also rich and classic "Jamaica" in taste - wonderful!

We bought these barrels after the distillery was sold by the Ward family in 2014. This edition is the result of the last 2009´ 18 barrels bottling.

In honor of the 100th Annivesary of the Caroni Distillery, we have reproduced the historic bottle´s packaging of the unique Caroni aged and exported to UK, during the 40`s by Tate & Lyle.

This releases contains a Caroni aged 18 years in Trinidad.

Bottled in 2018 at 90 imperial proof (51,4%) like the version from the 1940`s
