House of McCallum celebrates with this Limited Edition release of McWarrior, the 700 year anniversary of the Declaration of Arbroath. On the 6th April 1320 Scotland´s Nobles affirmed and sealan Scotland´s right to Independence and the sovereign right of its people and Nation with these words:
" For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any condition be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - For that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

The Art commissioned for this limited release McWarrior is by Award winning Scottish Glasgow School of Art Artist Simon Laurie. Simon´s art, a combine of collage and painting illustrates beautifully the Scottish Nation´s rich past throught the declaration.

For the 2021 Campbeltown Malts Festival, Glen Scotia Distillery released this wonderful 10 year old single malt! It was distilled using uncoated barley, and initially aged in first-fill bourbon barrels before enjoying a five-month stay in first-fill Bordeaux wine barrels from the Medoc region. The whiskey was then married in refill bourbon casks and then bottled at cask strength, resulting in an expression bursting with ripe fruit and jammy berry notes alongside a subtle whiff of classic Campbeltown salinity.

The Bimber Journey:

Our whisky journey commences at our very own single-farm, where 100% of our barley is carefully cultivated. The barley then undergoes a traditional floor malting process. Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic ´Ceann Loch Cille Chaiarain´ which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Kilkerran is throught to be suitable name for a new Campbeltown distilleries to be called after a Glen, a custom more usually associated with the Speyside region.

This rare version of Miyagikyo single malt is part of the "Nikka Discovery" series: an inside look at the various experiments made during the whisky making process at Nikka. Focusing on the diversity of ingredients available at the distillery, this expression is crafted solely from batches of peated malt and offers a pleasant surprise that overtones the preconceived "light and fruity" image of Miyagikyo

Nose: Rich and complex. Subtle notes of toast, dry peat and twigs highlight the distinguished character of the first nose.
Palate: Distinguished and dynamic. The attack is just as exotic, while also revealing both honeyed and floral notes. As for the peat, it finesses itself into every nook and cranny. Covered in a fine layer of ash, the mid-palate is deeply rootly allowing the expression of a reflecting minerality.
Finish: Long and well-balanced. At the start of the finish, a chocolate, vanilla and spicy peat takes centra-stage. Tangy flavours of ripe fruit slowly spread across the taste buds. The empty glass preciesely replicate the aromas of cigar, wildflowers and black liquorice.

This rare version of Yochi single malt is a part of "Nikka discovery" series: An inside look at the various experiments made during the whisky making process at Nikka. Focusing on the diversity of ingredients available at the distillery, this expression is made solely from un-peated malts and offers a pleasant surprises that overtunes the preconceived "peaty" image of Yochi.

Nose: Refined and balanced. Staying close to foundations of malted barley, the first nole also reveals aromas of fruit and acacia honey. Becoming increasingly exotic, it then develops a nobly spicy and herbaceous register. Little by little, medicinal notes delicately cover the aromatic palette.
Palate: Taut and lively. Citrus fruits initially bring a lot of energy to the first impression in the mouth. This lively start it then followed by a beautiful vanilla and almost roasted sequence, the richness of which highlights the incredible balance of sweet and savoury flavours. A particularly mouth-watering bitterness completes picture.
Finish: Long and rich. Like the first nose, the start of the finish foccuses on malted barley. Aniseed, vegetal and creamy flavours gradually spread across the sides of the palate. On the retronasal olfaction, a handful of nuts and juicy fruits bring pleasing length to the very end of the palate.

The Chichibu distillery, wich started operation in 2008, and the Mars Shinshu Destillery, which resumed distillation in 2011. This project has been launched to pursue new possibillities of Japanese whisky by two distilleries that have high aspirations.
The Chichibu distillery, which is rich in nature and benefits from the temperatura difference peculiar to the basin and the Arakawa river, and The Mars Shinshu Destillery, wich is surrounded by beatiful forrest at the foot of Mt. Kisokama in the Central Alps.
The Whiskies that have been aged in these two environments its blended in each area and expressed as two new personalities.

A total of 10,200 bottles have been made in this edition.
