Michell´s Glengyle Ltd. are very proud til be continuing and adding the great Campbeltown Distilling and the choice of the name reflect that. Kilkerran is derived from the Gaelic ´Ceann Loch Cille Chaiarain´ which is the name of the original settlement where Saint Kieran had his religious cell and Campbeltown now stands. Kilkerran is throught to be suitable name for a new Campbeltown distilleries to be called after a Glen, a custom more usually associated with the Speyside region.
