The Story Behind the Whisky
Bruichladdich was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers. The distillery changed ownership several times. This whisky comes from the period when Whyte & MacKay ran the distillery, before its closure in 1994. The cask rested quietly until private investors revived the distillery in 2000. Today, Bruichladdich is owned by Rémy Cointreau, but this cask is part of the rare stock from before the reopening. A true journey through whisky history.
