Tasting notes

The story behind the whisky

Founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, Bruichladdich has had a varied but fascinating history ever since. This whisky dates back to the period when the distillery was owned and operated by Whyte & MacKay before Bruichladdich closed in 1994.

The cask remained untouched over the years until the distillery was revived by private investors in 2000. Today, Bruichladdich is owned by Rémy Cointreau, but this cask is part of the rare pre-revival stock.

This bottling was made by Whyte & MacKay, who were known for their uncompromising approach and focus on the history and authenticity of whisky. The result is a true time traveler – a whisky that tells its own story in every glass.
