Cambridge STC♥E 2010 is an authentic and powerful Jamaican rum, created in collaboration between National Rums of Jamaica and legendary independent bottler Velier. This edition is part of the coveted Long Pond bottlings, where some of Jamaica’s most distinctive rums are bottled in limited quantities for collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

Distilled in 2010 at the historic Long Pond Distillery in Trelawny, the rum is produced in traditional double retort pot stills. This method is known for creating rums with enormous aromatic depth and the distinctive Jamaican ester profile that makes rum from the island famous among connoisseurs.

After distillation, the rum is aged for a full 12 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica. Tropical aging allows for a much more intense development in the barrel, with the rum absorbing flavors and character from the wood at a faster pace. The result is a rum of impressive complexity, richness and depth.

Cambridge STC♥E is bottled at a natural strength of 57%, with no chill filtration and no additives. Only 15 casks are used in this bottling, resulting in a total of 4,900 bottles. This makes this rum a coveted release among rum collectors and fans of authentic Jamaican rum.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense and aromatic with notes of overripe tropical fruits, pineapple, banana, fermented fruit notes, spices and a hint of oak.

Flavor: Powerful and complex with layers of tropical fruit, citrus, spice, caramel and the distinctive Jamaican ester profile.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering notes of tropical fruit, spice and slightly dry oak.

The story of Long Pond Distillery

Long Pond Distillery is one of the most historic rum distilleries in Jamaica and has been producing rum since the 1700s. Located in Trelawny, the distillery is known for its traditional pot still distillation and distinctive rum styles with a high ester profile.

Through the collaboration between National Rums of Jamaica and Velier, several historic rum brands and distillation styles have been reintroduced to the market. These bottlings have quickly gained cult status among rum lovers for presenting Jamaican rum in its most authentic and unadulterated form.
