Production

The history of the house

Castello Banfi was founded in 1978 by brothers John and Harry Mariani and is located near Montalcino in Tuscany. The property extends over more than 3,000 hectares, of which around 1,000 hectares are planted with vines.

Banfi has a state-of-the-art winery and a medieval castle with an award-winning restaurant. The combination of tradition, innovation and uncompromising quality has made it one of Italy’s most recognized wineries – including 12 titles as “Best Italian Winery” by Vinitaly.
