Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015
The proud icon of Tuscany

There are many Brunellos. But only a few reach the heights of Castello Romitorio Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015.
This wine is the very essence of Tuscan greatness – created with patience, passion, and deep respect for nature.

The 2015 vintage became one of the finest in Montalcino’s recent history. The climate was ideal, and the Sangiovese grapes ripened slowly. The result is a wine that combines both power and finesse.
At Castello Romitorio, only the best parcels are selected from the cool northwestern hills. Here, the grapes develop the freshness that gives the wine its elegant structure.

Harvesting is done entirely by hand. Each cluster is carefully sorted before fermentation takes place with natural precision. The wine then ages for 36 months in large oak barrels and another 24 months in the bottle.
When released, it is in perfect balance – ready for grand moments at the table.

Tasting Notes – Elegance, depth, and harmony

The bouquet is intense, with aromas of dark cherries, dried roses, and tobacco. Layers of cedarwood, truffle, and balsamic follow.
On the palate, it is rich and silky, with ripe, rounded tannins. The finish is long and complex, marked by mineral freshness and a hint of spice.

A perfect companion to hearty dishes such as game, lamb, or aged cheeses. It can be enjoyed now, but will evolve beautifully over the next 15–25 years.

Castello Romitorio – Where Wine and Art Meet

Castello Romitorio was founded in 1984 by artist Sandro Chia. He restored an ancient castle in Montalcino and transformed it into a place where art and wine live side by side.
Today, his son Filippo Chia leads the estate, carrying forward the vision of crafting wines with both soul and precision.
