Château Clinet Pomerol 2010

Château Clinet Pomerol 2010 is a great and classic Pomerol from one of the area’s most respected producers. The wine comes from the famous plateau in the heart of the appellation. It creates wines with depth, elegance and a particularly silky texture. The 2010 vintage is known as one of the greatest Bordeaux vintages in recent times. The result is a wine with intensity, balance and impressive ageing potential.

Château Clinet is located on one of the highest points of the Pomerol plateau. The property is easily recognizable with its distinctive red shutters and the beautiful roses in front of the château. The location provides optimal conditions for growing Merlot. The soils on the plateau are known for producing wines of great concentration and complexity.

The vineyards cover 11.5 hectares and consist primarily of Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines have an average age of around 40 years. The older vines produce lower yields but much more concentrated fruit. This contributes to the depth and structure of the wine.

Château Clinet has a long history in the area. Traces of the property with the name Clinet date back to 1595. Over the centuries, the castle has built a reputation for wines with a special character. The wines are known for their rich fruit, silky tannins and elegant structure. This makes Clinet one of the most coveted names in Pomerol.

The 2010 vintage shows Clinet at its most impressive. The wine has great concentration, but also finesse. It can be enjoyed now after decanting, but will develop even greater complexity with further ageing.
