Experience a true classic from the heart of the Médoc. Château Gloria 1982 is a wine with soul, character, and mature elegance from one of Bordeaux’s most legendary vintages. It is crafted for the wine lover who seeks the extraordinary – a deep and timeless experience that only Saint-Julien can deliver.

A mature gem from an iconic year

The 1982 vintage stands as a milestone in Bordeaux’s history. It was a year of perfect conditions, producing wines with depth, balance, and great aging potential. Château Gloria 1982 showcases the strength of this vintage through its harmony and complexity.
The classic grape varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot – blend seamlessly into a wine that still impresses with its finesse and structure.

Tasting notes

The color is deep garnet red with brick hues at the rim. The bouquet is rich and evolved, offering aromas of ripe dark berries, dried figs, cedarwood, and cigar box. On the palate, the wine is elegant and rounded. Silky tannins carry notes of blackcurrant, truffle, mocha, and tobacco. The finish is long and persistent, beautifully balanced between maturity and freshness.

A wine for collectors and connoisseurs

Château Gloria 1982 is more than just a wine – it is a piece of history. It embodies everything that makes Saint-Julien famous: power, precision, and elegance. A wine for the experienced enthusiast who appreciates mature Bordeaux. Perfect as a collector’s item or for that special evening when only the best will do.

The story of Château Gloria

Most estates in the Médoc boast centuries of history. Château Gloria is the exception. Its story begins with Henri Martin, the son of a cooper from Saint-Julien, who dreamed of creating his own wine.
In 1939, he began purchasing small vineyard plots from neighbors and friends. After decades of patient work, he was finally able to unite them under a single name – Château Gloria – in 1970, with 50 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the appellation.

Henri Martin built his success on passion, craftsmanship, and an uncompromising pursuit of quality. Despite lacking an official Cru Classé title, Château Gloria is today regarded as one of Saint-Julien’s most respected estates.
Today, the estate is run by his daughter Françoise and son-in-law Jean-Louis Triaud, who continue the family legacy together with the next generation.
