Compagnie des Indes 14 Year Old Guyana Rum 62.4% GDP30 is a powerful and exclusive single cask rum from Guyana – specially selected and bottled for Denmark. An intense Demerara rum with depth, complexity and 62.4% alcohol, bottled at cask strength for maximum character and authenticity.

This rum originates from the Demerara distillery in Guyana, an area world renowned for its dark, heavy and aromatic rums. After 14 years of aging, the rum is finished in sherry casks for a full 48 months, adding extra layers of dried fruit, spice and vinous elegance. The combination of tropical character and the oxidative depth of the sherry creates a distinctive and nuanced flavor experience.

Bottling took place in June 2021 from cask no. BNP30 and only 430 bottles have been released in total. Imported and bottled in France by Compagnie des Indes, known for their uncompromising approach to single cask rum without unnecessary additions.

This is a rum for connoisseurs – intense, concentrated and made for those who love cask strength rums with a sherry finish and plenty of depth.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Deep and dark with notes of molasses, raisins, dried figs and dates, combined with spices, toasted oak and a hint of cocoa.

Flavor: Rich and explosive with dark caramel, burnt sugar, prunes and spicy sherry notes. Underlying notes of tobacco, coffee and slightly bitter chocolate.

Finish: Long, warm and persistent with dried fruit, oak spice and a light vinous finish from the sherry cask.
