Glen Scotia 18 Year Old Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky 46% – Depth, sea and sherry elegance

Glen Scotia 18 Year Old Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky 46% is an exclusive, aged single malt from one of Scotland’s most traditional whisky regions. Here, 18 year old patience, coastal character and exquisite cask maturation come together in a whisky that delivers both complexity and balance at a high level.

This 18 year old bottling begins its maturation in American oak casks, where it builds structure, soft vanilla sweetness and classic malt character. The distillery’s Master Blender then carefully selects the best casks and gives the whisky a 12-month finish in first fill oloroso sherry casks. This final maturation adds perfumed floral aromas, deeper fruit notes and a refined spicy warmth.

The result is a Campbeltown single malt with distinct distillery character, elegant hints of sea spray and a beautiful integration of fruit, oak and sherry. A whisky that evolves in the glass and rewards both the drinker and the collector.

Details and character

American oak provides the foundation with notes of honey, caramel and ripe fruit, while the oloroso casks contribute dried fruit, nuts and spices. The maritime signature – slightly salty and mineral – ties it all together and gives the whisky its distinctive Campbeltown profile.

At 46% alcohol, the whisky is full-bodied, intense and structured without being boozy. It can be enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water, which opens up even more aromatic nuances.
