Glenfarclas 12 Year Old Highland Single Malt 43%

Glenfarclas 12 year is a classic sherry-aged single malt whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. This whisky is a safe choice for those looking for an authentic dram with warm sherry notes, great body and plenty of character. Glenfarclas is known for its traditional style, and this 12 year old version shows why the distillery is loved by whisky enthusiasts around the world.

The whisky offers a harmonious balance of sweetness, spice and deep fruitiness. It works perfectly as a permanent “house whisky” in the liquor cabinet. It also makes an ideal gift for any whisky lover. Glenfarclas 12 year old delivers both classic Scottish craftsmanship and a flavor profile that’s easy to enjoy.

This Highland single malt is matured in carefully selected sherry casks. The influence of Oloroso sherry in particular gives the whisky its characteristic depth. During maturation, notes of dried fruit, nuts and warm spices develop. At the same time, the soft sweetness that makes Glenfarclas so inviting emerges.

With an alcoholic strength of 43%, the whisky is beautifully balanced in the glass. It has both power and elegance. The taste is full-bodied, but still round and accessible. This makes it suitable for both the experienced whisky enthusiast and those who want to explore classic sherried single malt.

Glenfarclas sticks to traditional production methods. This gives the whisky a distinct identity and a style that is true to the distillery’s history. The result is a whisky with depth, warmth and a character that has made Glenfarclas one of Scotland’s most respected distilleries.

The story behind Glenfarclas

Glenfarclas is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that is still family owned. The distillery was taken over by the Grant family in 1865 and is now run by the sixth generation. Located at the foot of Ben Rinnes in Speyside, it is known for its uncompromising approach to traditional whisky craftsmanship.

Production takes place in some of Scotland’s largest copper boilers. They are still heated by direct fire, which is a rare method in modern whisky production. This technique contributes to a rich and characterful spirit. The whisky is matured in traditional dunnage warehouses, where European oak sherry casks in particular give Glenfarclas its distinctive style.
