The whisky was distilled in 2004 and bottled on July 19, 2023 from a single cask. The port cask contributes deep fruitiness, light vinous sweetness and a beautiful color intensity that plays beautifully with the distillery’s malty and rich base style. At 54.2% strength, this bottling is bottled at natural cask strength and delivers power, complexity and balance.

Only 457 bottles of this release have been bottled, making it both rare and coveted. It’s a whisky that develops impressively in the glass and is best enjoyed slowly, preferably with a few drops of water to open up the many layers of fruit and spice.

Tasting notes:
The nose offers ripe red fruits, plums, raisins and light vinous sweetness, accompanied by malt, caramel and a hint of spice. The palate is rich and intense with notes of dark berries, dried fruit, chocolate, spicy oak and a rounded sweetness from the port cask. The finish is long, warm and elegant with persistent fruit, spice and soft structure.
