The color is deep chestnut brown with amber reflections. The aroma is complex and delicate with notes of walnuts, marzipan, black pepper and warm spices. The taste is concentrated and full-bodied, yet silky smooth with elegant hints of raisins and caramel. The well-preserved acidity, despite the wine’s advanced age, gives it an amazing freshness and leads to a long, persistent and harmonious aftertaste.

The history of the house

Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman – better known as Taylor’s – has been producing port since 1692 and today remains a family-owned and completely independent company. Headquartered in Vila Nova de Gaia, the port is exported to over 50 countries worldwide.
