This elegant Grande Champagne cognac represents the entrance to one of the area’s most respected family houses and is an obvious choice for those seeking classic, pure and authentic cognac of the highest quality.

The name “Le Coq” refers both to the rooster in the house logo and to the village of Juillac-Le-Coq. The iconic rooster design was created by the local priest in the 1930s and has been a hallmark of the house ever since. A beautiful detail that emphasizes the connection between family, history and local roots in Grande Champagne.

The cognac is made exclusively from grapes from the house’s own 25 hectares of vineyards, located in the heart of Grande Champagne – the most prestigious cru in the Cognac region. The La Poyade residence is located in the middle of the so-called “Golden Triangle” between Verrières, Angeac-Champagne and Juillac-Le-Coq, where the soil is renowned for creating cognac with finesse, ageing potential and exceptional aromatic elegance.

Today, production is overseen by Pascal Fillioux, the fifth generation after founder Honoré Fillioux, who established the house in 1880. Known as an excellent master blender, Pascal has full control over the process – from harvest and distillation to aging and final bottling. The craftsmanship and attention to detail ensure a pure and balanced style with a distinct Grande Champagne character.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Fresh and elegant with notes of white flowers, ripe grapes, light vanilla and a hint of fresh fruit.

Taste: Soft and harmonious with fine nuances of pear, citrus, light honey and subtle oak. Young, lively and well-balanced.
