Jean Fillioux SO Elegantissime Grande Champagne Cognac is the epitome of classic Grande Champagne style – floral, fruity and seductively elegant. Behind this exclusive cognac is a traditional family house, founded in 1880, with 25 hectares of vineyards located in the premier region for cognac: Grande Champagne.

The property, La Pouyade, is located in the middle of the so-called “Golden Triangle” between Verrières, Angeac-Champagne and Juillac-Le Coq – a terroir known for producing grapes with exceptional finesse, minerality and ageing potential. They create cognacs with depth and precision, with the terroir clearly visible in the glass.

Today, the house is led by Pascal Fillioux, the fifth generation after founder Honoré Fillioux. Recognized as an extraordinary master blender, Pascal is fully responsible for the entire process – from harvest and distillation to aging and final bottling. The style is consistent and recognizable: floral, fruity, complex, powerful yet silky smooth. Once you’ve tasted Jean Fillioux, you’ll recognize the signature again and again.

Jean Fillioux Cognac has achieved international recognition. Norwegian master blender Jon Bertelsen has singled out the house as the best he has ever tasted, and the house’s older versions – including Très Vieux – have been named the world’s best brandy by Decanter and the best cognac in the world in its price range by spirits journalist Paul Pacult.

Tasting notes

Color: Clear golden amber with warm copper tones.

Aroma: Delicate and intense with floral notes, ripe stone fruits, citrus and a hint of vanilla and fine oak.

Taste: Silky and elegant with layers of pear, apricot, honey and subtle spicy cask. Complex but harmonious.

Finish: Long, refined and persistent with a nice balance between fruit and cask.
