Laphroaig 13 Years Islay #222 Single Malt Whisky Woodrow’s of Edinburgh 58.6%

A rare Islay Single Malt at the top of its game

Discover one of the most compelling and characterful Islay bottlings on the market today: Laphroaig 13 year Woodrow’s of Edinburgh – Warehouse Reserve. This limited edition whisky speaks directly to collectors, enthusiasts and lovers of deep smoky profiles with luxurious sherry complexity.
If you’re looking for a powerful, slightly dirty and elegant whisky bottling that stands out – and is easy to find via Google and Bing – this is one bottle you won’t want to miss.

This 13-year old Laphroaig is matured first in refill hogshead and then finished in first fill French Oak Oloroso sherry hogshead, giving it an intensity that few bottlings can match. With an alcoholic strength of 58.6%, it is concentrated, oily and extremely aromatic – just as a true Islay giant should be.

Only 263 bottles were bottled from cask no. 222, making this release a coveted rarity for collectors.

Tasting notes

Nose: An alluring combination of coastal smoke, salty sea breeze and damp toasted oak. Beneath the distinctive smoke, sweeter layers unfold: freshly sliced apple, lemon zest and a hint of dark demerara sugar.

Taste: Heavy and oily texture with distinct medicinal elements like iodine and hospital smoke – classic Laphroaig. Deep sherry notes of prunes, dates and toffee weave into spicy layers of nutmeg, cardamom and subtle orris root.

Finish: Long, powerful and persistent. Spicy warmth of nutmeg and star anise linger on the tongue, while a slightly damp, earthy note rounds out the overall impression.
