L’Ecole No 41 Ferguson Vineyard Walla Walla Valley 2016 – Single Vineyard Bordeaux blend at its best

L’Ecole No 41 Ferguson Vineyard 2016 is a powerful and elegant single vineyard red wine from the Walla Walla Valley in Washington State. This is a serious Bordeaux blend with American power and European finesse. A wine for connoisseurs seeking depth, structure and ageing potential.

The Ferguson Vineyard is one of the absolute pride of the house. The volcanic subsoil gives the wines distinctive minerality, intense fruit and great structure. This vintage is composed of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec. The wine has aged for 22 months in small French oak barrels, 50% of which are new. This adds complexity, spice and silky tannins.

the 2016 vintage offers ripe, concentrated fruit. Sunny days ensure fully ripe grapes. Cool nights from the Blue Mountains preserve acidity and freshness. The result is a wine with power, balance and elegance. Perfect with beef, lamb, game or a classic steak with pepper sauce. It can be enjoyed now, but will develop beautifully over the next many years.
