Maker’s Mark No. 46 – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 47%

Maker’s Mark No. 46 is a bourbon whiskey with extra depth, warmth and luxurious complexity. It takes the classic Maker’s Mark style to a new level with an innovative finish using French oak staves. The result is a richer, spicier and longer tasting experience that has made No. 46 a favorite among bourbon lovers worldwide.

This Kentucky Straight Bourbon starts its life as a fully matured Maker’s Mark. Then, the whiskey is given extra time in the barrel with specially selected, toasted French oak staves – known as stave profile #46. This method adds distinctive notes of vanilla, caramel and spice without bitterness. It’s a technique that requires patience, precision and great respect for the raw material.

The French oak gives the whisky more structure and depth. The flavor becomes more intense, but retains Maker’s Mark’s characteristic softness, created from red winter wheat instead of rye. Maker’s Mark No. 46 is both stronger and more rounded. A bourbon with a distinct personality and elegant balance.

This is the whisky for those who love classic bourbon but want more body, a longer finish and extra spicy complexity. Perfect for enjoying neat, with a little water or as an exclusive gift.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Rich aromas of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. Distinct notes of sweet spice and light toasted wood.

Flavor: Soft and rich. Intense vanilla, butterscotch and dark sugar meet warm spices and French oak.

Finish: Long and rounded. Spicy, slightly dry and with persistent sweetness without bitterness.

History of the house

Maker’s Mark was founded in 1953 in Kentucky with a clear philosophy: quality over quantity. The distillery chose red winter wheat instead of rye to create a softer and more approachable bourbon. Maker’s Mark No. 46 became the first whiskey to use the distillery’s pioneering French oak stave method. This innovation paved the way for a whole series of experimental and acclaimed bottlings – all with red wax and uncompromising craftsmanship.
