This is a 15-year aged rum from Guyana – 13 years of tropical aging at Diamond Distillery in Guyana followed by a 2-year continental stay in Javrezac, France in French oak casks from Ferrand. The result is a complex and structured rum where tropical warmth and French finesse merge in perfect balance.

Plantation Rum Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel has spent more than 20 years traveling the world to find the most authentic and traditional rum distilleries. For this Vintage Collection N. 2 Under the Sea, he personally selects 21 casks at Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana – an area famous for its heavy, deep and molasses-based rums.

This Guyana 2007 combines the power of the iconic Port Mourant double wooden pot still with the elegance of a copper column. The combination creates a rich, dark and deeply structured rum, where concentration and complexity really come to the fore. Tasting notes

Aroma: Intense and dark with notes of molasses, cocoa, roasted coffee beans, licorice and lightly smoked wood tones. Underlying are dried fruit, brown sugar and a hint of spice.

Flavor: Powerful and rich with dark chocolate, espresso, tobacco and earthy notes. The heavy Demerara style is balanced by elegant barrel spices, vanilla and a subtle French oak character.

Finish: Long, warm and persistent with deep notes of cocoa, oak and spicy molasses that linger long in the mouth.
