Double maturation – double character

The rum is distilled on column stills at Grenada Distillers. It is aged for 13 years in tropical climate bourbon barrels. Here it develops its deep, warm and rich character. It is then shipped to France for an additional year in Ferrand cognac barrels. This technique, created by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel, gives the rum finesse and complexity.

The result is a powerful and elegant rum, bottled at cask strength of 58.3%. There’s no added sugar or color – just pure, honest rum from cask to bottle.

Exclusivity in every drop

Ping 17 was selected in January 2025 by Juul’s own experts, Max Scott and Jakob Bunch. They handpicked this special cask during a visit to Planteray in France. Only a very small number of bottles are bottled and each one is numbered. A true collector’s rum – and a testament to true craftsmanship.

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich aromas of banana, burnt sugar and dark chocolate. Light notes of coconut and vanilla from the bourbon barrel.
Flavor: Rich and deep. Caramel, dried fruit and a hint of tobacco and orange peel. The high strength gives the flavor power and balance.
Finish: Long and warm with notes of oak and spicy sweetness.
