Provolo Campotorbian Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore 2021 is an authentic and characterful Ripasso from the Mezzane Valley east of Verona. It’s the classic ‘mini-Amarone’ experience with added depth, richness and complexity – but still retaining freshness and elegance.

Since 1927, the Provolo family has been farming and producing wine in this historic area. The vineyards are located in the hilly Mezzane Valley, surrounded by rolling hills with the Alps to the north and Lake Garda to the west. The combination of altitude, sun, cool winds and a special microclimate create optimal conditions for Valpolicella’s classic grapes.

The Ripasso method gives the wine extra structure and intensity. The young Valpolicella wine is fermented on the lees from Amarone production, adding more color, alcohol, complexity and depth. The result is a Superiore with a great balance of fruit, spice and power.

Serve at 16-18°C with braised meats, pasta with ragù, grilled dishes or mature cheeses.
