A tasting experience spanning more than eight decades

Taylor’s Very, Very Old White Port has a beautiful amber-gold color with impressive depth. The nose opens with dried apricots, candied orange peel, almond biscotti, jasmine, lavender, and orange blossom.

On the palate, roasted hazelnuts, almonds, tonka bean, blood orange, honey, and saffron come together in perfect balance with lively acidity and an elegant mineral freshness. The finish is exceptionally long and continues to evolve in the glass.

A wine crafted over generations

This port wine is the result of more than 80 years of patience and the work of several generations. The first casks were set aside by people who never lived to see the wine bottled. Each generation has preserved and cared for these historic casks until the time was just right.

Many of the vineyards where the grapes originally came from no longer exist. Today, they lie beneath the waters of the Douro River following the construction of dams in the area. Therefore, this port wine can never be recreated.

Each bottle is delivered in a custom-made crystal decanter developed in collaboration with the Portuguese company Vista Alegre and presented in an exclusive gift box that highlights the wine’s unique status.
