Taylor’s Vintage 2011 Magnum 1.5 liter – Iconic vintage in an impressive format

Taylor’s Vintage 2011 in magnum (1.5 liters) is a monumental port from one of the most legendary declared vintages in recent history. 2011 stands as a reference vintage in the Douro – and in magnum format you not only get more wine, but also even greater ageing potential and a slower, more harmonious evolution in the bottle. This is an investment in the great Port experiences of the future.

The wine is well-structured and powerful with massive concentration, yet remarkably elegant. It has a beautiful, deep purple – almost black – color. The aroma is intense and exotic with black berries, blackberries, violets and roses, combined with fine spices and discreet minerality. The taste is powerful and concentrated with an impressive depth of fruit, great balance and firm tannins. The finish is incredibly long, persistent and harmonious.

Vintage Port is said to be drinkable after 4-5 years, but only reaches its true peak after 15-20 years – and often even longer. The 2011 vintage has the structure and depth to develop for decades. In magnum format, the ageability is further enhanced, making this bottle particularly attractive to collectors.

Due to the natural sediment in Vintage Port, it is recommended to leave the bottle upright for a minimum of 48 hours before opening to allow the sediment to collect at the bottom. Decant gently so that the sediment remains in the bottle. The wine is optimal 2-3 hours after decanting and should be enjoyed within 24 hours of opening.

Perfect with strong cheeses, dark chocolate or as a majestic glass after a good meal.
