Rozés rose port

Rozès Rose Port

Rozès was founded in 1855 in Bordeaux by M. Ostende Rozès. A few years later they started trading in port wine, for this trade and success we can thank the son Edmond Rozès. In 1938 they established themselves in Vila Nova de Gaia, and at this time they were already known for a very high quality of port wine.
The activities were stopped during the Second World War and were restarted in Portugal in 1959. Until 1974, the firm continued as a family business, after which it was sold to Pedro Domecq S.A., Luxemburg. In 1977, the company was taken over by Moet Hennesy S.A., and in 1999, Rozès Port was sold again - this time to the champagne company Vranken Monopole.
This port wine is produced from Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz grapes grown in the Douro region of Portugal.
It is a beautiful, high-quality rosé port with an eye-catching pink color with a faint ruby red tinge. The aroma is complex and delicate with notes of fresh pomegranates, cherries and other red fruits, the taste is fresh and beer-soft right through to the long and pleasant aftertaste.
A beautiful and incredibly well-balanced port that is particularly suitable for frozen desserts and fruit, but absolutely unbeatable when served chilled with a few ice cubes and a strip of orange peel as an aperitif.
