Tasting Notes

• Nose: Raisins, vanilla, plums, and subtle licorice, followed by dried fruit, cocoa, and prunes.

• Palate: Starts with licorice, then dried oranges, spiced Christmas cake, and raisins with a subtle hint of cocoa.

• Finish: Long and complex, with notes of raisins, dried fruit, and ripe plums.

Nyborg Distillery is located in the heart of Nyborg on the island of Funen, in a historic building that once housed a busy freight train workshop for over 125 years. We create whisky with a focus on quality and adventure – our philosophy is simple: it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.

We take pride in our organic approach. Most of our barley is grown on fields visible from the distillery – less than two kilometers away. Many of our casks are made from 150–200-year-old trees from Funen, giving our whisky a unique connection to nature and the local area.
