Armagnac 1967 Gaston Legrand Bas Armagnac – a true vintage treasure

There are spirits and then there is vintage Armagnac. Gaston Legrand 1967 is a living piece of history – distilled in a time when craftsmanship, patience and respect for the raw material were paramount. This 1967 Bas Armagnac is made for the connoisseur, the collector and the discerning connoisseur looking for something special in the glass.

The Armagnac is made from the classic Ugni Blanc, Baco Blanc and Colombard grapes grown in the famous Bas Armagnac region. This is where the most elegant and sought-after Armagnacs come from, known for their fine balance between lower alcohol and high natural acidity – an ideal starting point for long barrel aging and great complexity.

After distillation, this vintage has been aged in oak barrels for decades, where time has quietly shaped the spirit into a harmonious, rounded and deeply nuanced Armagnac. It has reached its optimal expression and will not change character with further aging – it is ready to be enjoyed now.

Tasting notes

On the nose, ripe notes of dried fruit, walnuts, caramel and a hint of spice. The palate is soft and rounded with hints of prune, vanilla, light oak and a subtle oxidative depth. The finish is long, warm and elegant with a pleasant dryness.

Perfect as a avec – particularly suited to a good cup of coffee after a well-prepared meal, where it really unfolds its complexity.
