Arran Limited Edition Cask #1082 – 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is a rare and exclusive bottling from the Isle of Arran Distillery, created in a very limited edition exclusively for the UK market. This whisky is a perfect example of Arran’s elegant and fruity distillate, which after years of maturation has developed impressive depth and complexity.

The whisky was distilled on July 21, 1997 and matured for 18 years in a carefully selected Sherry Hogshead (Cask #1082). It was bottled on October 15, 2015 at a natural cask strength of 52.4%, resulting in a powerful and authentic whisky experience with plenty of character.

Only 260 bottles were bottled from this cask, making this edition a rare collector’s bottle and a unique opportunity to experience Arran in a mature and complex version.

Sherry casks with depth and elegance

Aging in a sherry hogshead gives the whisky a beautiful balance between Arran’s natural fruity style and deep notes of dried fruit, spice and oak. The combination results in a whisky with richness, warmth and an elegant structure.

The whisky is not chill-filtered and has natural color, which means that all the natural aromas and oils are retained in the bottle. This makes for a more authentic and intense whisky experience.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Complex and aromatic with notes of dried fruit, raisins, orange peel, honey and spicy oak.

Taste: Rich and elegant with layers of dark fruit, caramel, roasted nuts, spices and a nice sherry character.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering notes of dried fruit, spice and soft oak sweetness.
