Blanton’s Gold Edition is an exclusive Kentucky Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey for the serious bourbon lover. It’s a stronger and more intense version of the iconic Blanton’s Original. Each bottle is bottled from a single barrel. It is never blended with other barrels. It’s pure single barrel bourbon, just as tradition dictates.

This edition was bottled on May 22, 2025 from Barrel No. 768. The barrel has been aged at the famous Warehouse H, Rick No. 72. It is hand selected and bottled at 103 Proof, equivalent to 51.5% alcohol. This gives it extra depth, more power and a distinctive, complex flavor profile.

Blanton’s Gold Edition is made for those who want more intensity in the glass. The flavor is deeper. The spices are more pronounced. The barrel character is more pronounced. Yet it retains the silky balance that has made Blanton’s a legend in bourbon whiskey.

The story behind Blanton’s

Blanton’s was launched as the world’s first commercial single barrel bourbon. The name honors Colonel Albert B. Blanton, who for over 55 years led what we know today as Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. He personally selected the best barrels from Warehouse H for his private consumption.

In 1984, this tradition was made available to the public. Since then, Blanton’s has achieved icon status among bourbon enthusiasts. Each bottle is labeled with the bottling date, barrel number and storage location. It’s true craftsmanship and full transparency – just like a true single barrel bourbon should be.
