At Elk Cove Vineyards, all Pinot Noir grapes are treated with great care. The grapes are transported through the winery’s gravity system, which means the fruit is handled as gently as possible. This method helps preserve the natural structure and aroma of the grapes, resulting in a wine of great elegance and purity.

The grapes from the La Bohème vineyard are fermented in small temperature-controlled steel tanks. During fermentation, the grape skins are hand-punched twice daily to gently extract color, aroma and structure. The wine is then aged for 10 months in French oak barrels to develop complexity and depth.

After aging, the winemaking team selects the best barrels for the final wine. The result is a Pinot Noir with silky tannins, generous fruit and an elegant structure that makes La Bohème a classic representative of Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley.
